I have a fun and simple Halloween craft to share, painted pumpkins. I spotted these black pumpkins at Target and thought they would be perfect to paint with a faux bois, fake woodgrain design. I love how they turned out, they remind me of a spooky haunted forest.
Step One: Gather the supplies.
Supplies needed:
Craft Pumpkin
Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint in White
Small round paint brush
Step Two: Paint the pumpkin. Hand painting a faux bois pattern is surprisingly easy. Just paint a few knots, and then let the lines organically surround them. I did a test run on a paper plate to make sure I was comfortable with the pattern and design, then I just went for it.
This was a really quick project, I painted both pumpkins in about twenty minutes. They look perfect next to another Target find, a sweet little glittery owl.
I love Halloween, and I can’t wait to share the rest of my Halloween projects and decor.
