Freeze Cookie Dough for Gift Giving

Freeze Cookie Dough for Gift Giving

This holiday season, why not give the gift of freshly baked cookies? The best part is, you don’t have to do the baking! Here are the tips, recipe, and supplies you will need to deliver homemade frozen cookie dough. Your friends and neighbors will love you.

Step One: Gather your packaging supplies. You will need a freezer safe container and any decorative embellishments you want to add. I plan to make a lot of cookie dough, so I ordered these Quart Size Containers. They fit a dozen cookie dough balls perfectly! I made labels with my Silhouette Machine using Chalkboard Contact Paper and I used my favorite Chalk Ink Marker to label them and write instructions on the back. I finished them off with a cute ribbon.

Step Two: Prepare your cookie dough. My Chocolate Chip Cookies  are what I used, and they whip up in just a few minutes!Step Three: Roll cookie dough into balls and place on baking sheet or plate. Place them in the freezer and let them freeze individually before placing them in the container.

Step Four: Package and label cookie dough. Add a little extra baking time to the recipe since the dough will be frozen. For my Chocolate Chip Cookies, the bake time from frozen is about 10 minutes.

Step Five: Deliver them to your lucky friend, neighbor, co-worker, boss, relative, etc.
