Have you tried Cherry M&M’s? They are released especially for Valentine’s Day, and they make the perfect combination for my Double Chocolate Cherry M&M Cookies. Chocolate cookie dough, paired with dark chocolate chips, and Cherry M&M’s.
Double Chocolate Cherry M&M Cookies
by Melissa at No. 2 Pencil
Makes about 18 large cookies
Ingredients
14 tablespoons of melted and cooled butter
3/4 cup of granulated sugar
3/4 cup of firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/2 a cup of Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of kosher salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
1 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1 10oz bag of dark chocolate morsels
1 bag of Cherry M&M’s
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine butter, sugars, cocoa, salt, and vanilla extract. Stir on low just until combined. Continue stirring and add eggs one at a time.
Combine flour and baking soda in another bowl, then add to stand mixer. Stir just until dough forms. Add chocolate chips to bowl and give a final stir.
Form two tablespoons of dough into balls and place on cookie sheet. Flatten balls down slightly and place ten Cherry M&M’s on top of each cookie dough ball and bake for about ten minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool.
I’m so excited about these cookies. Cherry and chocolate is one of my all-time favorite combinations, and the addition of dark chocolate to these cookies makes them really special. Though you could easily substitute any type of chips, white chocolate chips would be wonderful as well!
Cherry M&M’s are also available around Christmas, so these would be great for holiday baking.

Not only are they gorgeous-they sound scrumptious!
This combination of deep colours looks extremely beautiful. I absolutely would love to have one of these right now!
I need to go hunt down some cherry M&M’s!
Should I give you my address now or later, because I would certainly LOVE to get a box of these in the mail… LOL!!!
