Christmas Music for Thirty-Somethings

A Christmas Playlist for thirty-somethings, or anyone who loves the 90's!
I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my very favorite Christmas songs! The truth is I love all kinds of Christmas music, but this is a playlist that I listen to over and over again during the holidays. It reminds me of when my husband and I were dating and just starting our own Christmas traditions. We used to pick up Starbucks, still a novelty in our town, or a peppermint milkshake from Dewar’s, our local icecream parlor, and drive around looking at Christmas lights.  Now I drive our kiddos to school and home and listen to the same Christmas songs. My daughter keeps asking to hear  ”All I  Want for Christmas is You.” What girl doesn’t love Mariah Carey?

I called this post Christmas Music for Thirty-Somethings, but really it’s for anybody who loves songs from the 90′s, with some 80′s and 2000′s thrown in.

1. All I Want For Christmas Is You

Mariah Carey

The Drifters

Can you listen to this without seeing Macaulay Culkin singing into a comb?

Billy Squier

19 and 20 are two of my favorites and they are both on  the A Very Special Christmas CD on Amazon. It looks like “Christmas in Hollis” is on iTunes too, but not the U2 song.

“Hard Candy Christmas” is my all-time favorite Christmas song, though I don’t know if it is technically a Christmas song. I just love listening and singing along, even when my kids ask me to stop singing;0)
