Thank you to Martha Stewart Living and Weight Watchers for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
Anytime I have a chance to work with Martha Stewart Craft supplies, I jump right in! I was thrilled to receive a blogger box filled with these chic kitchen canisters and Martha Stewart Craft supplies courtesy of Martha Stewart Living. I used the stencils and multi-surface craft paint to personalize these canisters in just a few minutes. This a an easy DIY project anybody can do. The longest part is waiting for the paint to dry!
Supplies needed:
Kitchen Canisters
Martha Stewart Acrylic Metallic Paint, Sterling
Martha Stewart Adhesive Stencils – Typewriter
Rubbing Alcohol
Step 1. Prepare canister by wiping with rubbing alcohol.
Step 2. Carefully place stencils and make sure edges are smoothed down.
Step 3. Pick up a small amount of paint with pouncer and apply to stencil with a dabbing motion.
Step 4. Remove stencil while paint is still wet. Immediately wash stencil with soap and water so it can be reused and let dry. You can use a cotton swab and alcohol to clean any paint that may have gone outside the stencil.
Step 5. Fill your canister with something yummy! Weight Watchers was kind enough to send a sample of these delcious Triple Chocolate Brownie Bliss mini brownies in my blogger box.
I put them in the canister and they were immediately eaten by my whole family. We all loved these little fudge brownies, they are covered in real chocolate ganache!
I couldn’t resist taking a picture of the very last one! Seriously, so fudgy and good!
I’m thrilled with how these DIY stenciled kitchen canisters came out. They go perfectly in my kitchen and I love the vintage vibe the typewriter stencil gives this project. I would highly recommend trying Martha’s metallic multi-surface paint. When you use a pouncer to apply the paint, it gives the paint a bit of texture, which looks really great in the metallic finish. Similar to a hammered metallic finish.
Happy crafting!
