Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound bacon diced and cooked, optional
  • 2 pounds fresh green beans trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 16 oz fried onions

Instructions

  1. Spray a 4.5 quart Crock-Pot with non stick cooking spray.

  2. Add cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, garlic powder and pepper to slow cooker and whisk until combined.

  3. Stir in green beans and and bacon. Cook on low for 5-6 hours, stirring once halfway through to promote even cooking. Stir in half of fried onions and top with remaining onion when ready to serve.

Recipe Notes

To keep the onion topping crispy, do not cover with slow cooker lid once the onions are placed on top of the casserole.
