One-Pan Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie


  • 14 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 cup of granulated white sugar
  • 3/4 cup of firmly packed golden brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of milk chocolate chips
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a 12 inch non stick, oven safe skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, salt and vanilla.
  4. Once sugar and butter is well combined, stir in egg and egg yolk.
  5. Add flour and baking soda and mix until all flour in incorporated.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and spread cookie dough evenly in the skillet.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes on middle rack, until edges are a light golden brown.
  8. Do not over bake as cookie will continue to cook as it cools.
