Supplies needed:
Unpainted wooden craft hearts
Acrylic craft paints
Googly eyes/wiggle eyes, variety pack
Paint brush
Drill
Twine or string
Hot glue
Directions
Drill holes through top, center of heart shape. Make sure your hole is large enough to accommodate your string. (I painted first, and had some chipping during drilling.) Then paint heart shapes with several coats of acrylic craft paints.
Let hearts dry, then string onto twine and double tie the top so the hearts are facing forward rather than sideways. Hot glue eyes to front of hearts. Vary sizes and placement to give the garland personality.
The red one-eyed heart is my favorite. He’s like a little love monster on a string, looking right at you.
For an even quicker variation of this project, try using hearts cut out of card stock instead of wood shapes.

Adorable! I saw this on Craftgawker and had to come by and pin it! I’d be thrilled if you’d link it up at my weekly party, which goes live at 9 PM EST tonight at http://www.oneartsymama.com!
