The big day is almost here and I thought it would be fun to share some of our Christmas decorations. I used things that I already have around the house to decorate our front door, and I love how it turned out.
I hung my DIYÂ chalkboard wreath using a red ribbon, and tied some of that red ribbon around a green lantern I’ve had for several years. Then, I added fresh poinsettias in a burl wood bowl.
I couldn’t find a Christmas doormat I loved, so I used a small chevron rug I painted myself.
We don’t have a fireplace or a traditional mantel, so I like to decorate my vintage dresser turned media center. My media center was my very first blog post, and it’s still one of my most popular!
To decorate the dresser, we laid a snow blanket across the top, then added green cone trees I made out of poster board. I also have two ceramic moose that I picked up this year.
I made a simple pom-pom garland out of twine and store bought pom-poms, and finished it off with an oversized peace sign wreath. Â Our elf, Flyer, likes to hang out up there sometimes. I ordered the wreath from CB2 last year after Christmas, thinking I would use it on my front door, but it is giant! So I had to find a new spot for it.
This is one of my favorite spots in the house. It’s a little side yellow table I use to display seasonal decorations. This year, I went for a pretty, rustic look and combined my Rudolph Silhouette Sign, glittery Christmas ornaments, and the nativity Max made in preschool. I just love those precious little peg people!
So that’s some of our home for the holidays. Thanks for taking a look!
