Use a small sharp knife to draw the outline of a fingernail at the top of hot dog frank. Lay the knife sideways and cut a thin layer of the fingernail away. Then make three slices at each knuckle point.

Cook hot dog franks with desired method.

Serve with classic hot dog condiments. Drops of ketchup or hot sauce optional!
