Creamy Boursin Chicken – pan-seared chicken breasts with the easiest creamy two ingredient pan sauce.

Creamy Boursin Chicken
The two ingredient pan sauce is the star of the show, and is perfect served over the chicken, and with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta. Seasoned chicken breasts are cooked in a hot skillet, then chicken broth is used to deglaze the pan. Once all the browned bits are scraped up, Garlic and Fine Herb Boursin Cheese is then melted into the warm chicken broth to make a creamy flavor-packed sauce.

Ingredients for Boursin Chicken
The ingredients are so simple!
- Seasonings – Kosher Salt, Freshly Ground Black Pepper, and Garlic Powder.
- Chicken – Breasts or Thighs will work, just cook until they reach the recommend temperature.
- Chicken Broth – use low-sodium then add salt to taste.
- Boursin Cheese – I used Garlic and Fine Herb Boursin Cheese but any flavor will make a delicious sauce!
- Parsley – a sprinkle of parsley or chives for a fresh finish.

How to Make Boursin Chicken
Season the Chicken
- Season the chicken liberally with Kosher Salt, Freshly Ground Black Pepper, and Garlic Powder
Cook the Chicken
- In a hot skillet, cook chicken on both sides until golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF using an instant read thermometer.
Create the Sauce
- Set chicken aside and deglaze pan with chicken broth. Melt Boursin cheese into warm chicken broth and whisk until smooth. Return chicken to pan and serve with sauce.

Recipe Tips
- A variety of Boursin Cheese will work with this recipe, including Garlic and Fine Herb, Shallot and Chive, Caramelized Onion and Herb.
- The recipe calls for three chicken breasts, which serves about six. Just use two large chicken breast to serve four people and you will have a little more sauce for serving.
- I use salt, pepper, and garlic powder to season the chicken before cooking. I try to avoid using a seasoning blend before pan searing. Many seasoning blends have sugar included in the mix which starts to burn in the pan and will make the sauce bitter.
- My favorite way to serve Boursin Chicken is over mashed potatoes. The sauce is delicious with mashed potatoes, but would also pair nicely with rice or pasta.
