A few weeks ago, I shared my DIY Cake Stands made from outdoor plates and cups. When I spotted these plastic Halloween plates from Target, I knew I had to make Halloween cake stands with them. I just love the shape of these plates, and the price is perfect. The larger one is $1.99, and the small one is only $.99. I hunted around and found these acrylic glasses for only $.88 a piece in the housewares section. Here is what you’ll need to make your own:
Supplies needed:
Plastic plates
Acrylic glasses
Paint brush
White acrylic craft paint
Black acrylic craft paint
Painters Tape
E-6000 Craft Adhesive
Step One: Paint two coats of white paint inside of glasses, let dry between coats. Tape off striped pattern on outside of cups. Paint two coats of black paint on outside of glass to create stripes. Remove tape while paint is still wet. Let glasses dry.
Step Two: Once cups are dry, flip over and use E-6000 to adhere plates to cups. Let dry according to instructions.
Step Three: Create a display with your new Halloween cake stands.
I used a dollar store pumpkin and googly eye ping pong balls left over from my googly eyes Halloween wreath. Stack them up for a taller display. I think it looks very Tim Burton-ish.

So cute! Would look great at any Halloween party- fun enough for the kiddos but sophisticated enough for a grown up party too.
