I’m super excited to share these easy-peasy DIY Iron-On Vinyl Jack Skellington tee shirts I made in less than an hour! I made one for myself and one for my littlest cutie. Heat transfer vinyl is a snap to iron on and I got to use my brand new Cricut Explore Air™ 2 machine to make these from my iPHONE! Can you believe it? You can download the Cricut Design Space™ app to your phone or iPad, pair the new Cricut Explore Air 2 to your phone via bluetooth and you can work anywhere. It’s pretty much a miracle! I was thrilled to be able to spread out on my kitchen island where I can have plenty of room to work.

Here is the new Cricut Explore Air 2, isn’t she so pretty? You won’t believe how quietly and quickly she works. I decided to time myself from when I opened the box for the first time to when my project was complete and it was seriously just one hour! Can you believe that? That hour included unboxing the machine, pairing the new machine with my computer and with my iPhone, designing the project, cutting the vinyl and ironing. I took a few screen shots on my phone along the way so you can see how easy it is.

I downloaded the app from the App Store onto my iPhone. Paired the new machine per the prompts and signed into my Cricut account. I started a new project and inserted an image I had previously purchased.
The Cricut Design App gives you instructions on how to size your image on the mat. The only thing I couldn’t figure out was how to delete the first layer, but I solved that by just skipping that mat. I went straight to mat 2 which was the shape I wanted.
I already had my Cricut Explore Air 2 set to Iron-On, so I changed the settings in the app to match my project. Don’t forget to toggle for iron-on so it will cut the mirror image.
Then proceed with the cut. So easy and quick! TIP: Don’t forget to place heat transfer vinyl face down on the cutting mat.
Then peel off the negative vinyl and iron on. I used black glitter iron on vinyl on a black tee and I love the results! I think the color on color combination gives it a professional look and I’m really happy with them.
I made a little one for my youngest and I think it’s adorable!
She likes it too and proved to be a very helpful model!
Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King!
We are big Disney and Disneyland fans and these Jack Skellington shirts are perfect for us! I plan on wearing mine Halloween through Christmas, well probably year-round actually:0)
