These fun DIY Mini Journals are so cute and easy to make. They are perfect for little ones to write their secrets in, or use as a tiny little art journal. My kids spent the entire afternoon filling their pages. These mini journals would make a sweet handmade gift as well!
Supplies needed:
White Cardstock
Colored Card Stock
Cricut Mini Digital Cutting Machine
Sewing machine or stapler
I made these mini journals using some simple shapes from my Cricut mini machine. This rounded rectangle is the back of a Thank You card that is included in the library. You can really use any shape for this project! I cut 4 rectangles out of white card stock. These rectangles are about 6 inches long.
Then I made the covers just slightly larger and added initials to the front to personalize them.
Then I had a lovely stack of cut card stock.
I folded them gently in half just to mark the middle point, then stacked them up. The white pages are underneath the colored cover in this picture. I used 4 white rectangles for each cover. I sewed straight down the middle, back stitching at each end. You can also use a stapler for this step, and just place two staples down the middle.
Just fold the mini journals in half, and they are ready to use.
