Rustic Kissing Booth Sign

Rustic Kissing Booth Sign

Way back before Thanksgiving, DecoArt was nice enough to contact me and ask me to make some Valentine’s Day pieces for them. Of course I said yes, and they sent me a big box of goodies and I went to work.

One of the pieces I made is this fun Rustic Kissing Booth Sign. It’s so cute for Valentine’s Day decor, but I think it would be a perfect prop for wedding or engagement pictures too.

Just like the Rudolph Silhouette Sign I made for Christmas, it is surprising simple and quick to make, and the results are so professional.

Supplies used:

Wood slice or plaque – I find mine at Michael’s

Vinyl Stencil – I created mine on my Silhouette Machine and used elements from Silhouette’s online store and Eccentric STD for my font

DecoArt Matte Finish Decoupage

Americana Acrylic Craft Paints

White Glitter

Step One: Place stencil on wood slice.

Step Two: Paint stencil with decoupage. This seals the edges and gives a crisp edge.

Step Three: Paint lettering and design with acrylic craft paints. Make sure you use the matte (standard) finish paints.

Step Four: Paint the arrow with another coat of decoupage and sprinkled with glitter. Shake off excess glitter.

Step Five: Remove stencil while paint is still drying.

Visiting from Whipperberry. This is such a cute idea. I’d love to make a similar sign. Pinning this onto my Silhouette idea board!

    Thanks for inspiring me.
