I’ve been working on ideas for our 4th of July party, and I thought a cute Uncle Sam inspired candy mustache pops would be fun. But guess what, Uncle Sam doesn’t have a mustache, just a really long beard and side burns. Apparently Uncle Sam was a hipster. I’m just gonna go with it, because I think these red, white and blue mustaches are totally adorable. They are super easy to make and my kiddos loved them!
Supplies needed for mustache pops:
(I found everything at Michaels)
Wilton Candy Melts in red, white and blue
Lollipop sticks
Mustache candy mold
Plastic baggies
Step One: Melt candy melts according to directions on the bag.
Step Two: Fill plastic baggies with melted candy and snip a small corner of the baggie off.
Step Three: Starting with the middle “stripe” pipe melted candy into mold.
Step Four: Insert lollipop stick and give it a little spin to make sure it is fully coated.
Step Five: Refrigerate until firm. Mine only took about an hour.
That’s it! They just pop right out of the mold.
Let your little ones be silly and get some fun pictures!
We tried to take our photo shoot outside, but since it was super hot, our mustaches started melting!
