Make-Ahead White Sangria Recipe – perfect for a summer party, this chilled sangria is loaded with crisp white wine, juicy peaches, and summer-ripened berries.

Make-Ahead White Sangria
Perfect for serving poolside or at a summer party. Make it the night before or the morning of serving. It’s easy to scale up to serve more. Use a crisp white wine, like a Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc, or use a Riesling for a sweeter version. To make a fresh summer sangria, I used ripe peaches and summer berries, but any ripe fruit you have on hand works well.

Ingredients for a White Sangria
- White Wine – best bets are Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, or a Riesling for a sweeter version.
- Apple Brandy – use an unoaked Apple Brandy to complement the fruity flavors of the white sangria.
- Peach Schnapps – a sweet and fruity liqueur that complements the fresh peaches.
- Peaches – sliced fresh peaches.
- Berries – I used a mix of raspberries, blackberries, sliced strawberries, and blueberries. Use the same, or your own mix, depending on what is available.
- Lemon – fresh slices
- Fresh Mint – for garnish

How to Make a White Sangria
- In a large pitcher, stir together wine, apple brandy, and peach schnapps.
- Add sliced peaches, berries, and lemon.
- Refrigerate, covered, for at least 4 hours or up to 24 hours ahead.
- Serve over a generous amount of ice with fruit from the sangria.
- Makes 4 large glasses of sangria.

Recipe Tips
- Cut fruits will affect the color quickly. If you want to keep the sangria white, use only whole berries. As it sits, the sliced berries, like strawberries, will start to turn the sangria pink.
- Chilling Time – I personally think the sangria is great at any chilling time. Most people say not to let it sit for over 24 hours, but we have had leftovers and still think it’s great the following day.
- Make-Ahead – when entertaining, a make-ahead cocktail is the best. Prepare the night before and let chill. Use a pitcher with a lid, or cover the pitcher with plastic wrap to keep it fresh in the fridge.
- Mix and Match the Fruit – you can buy the fruit I have specifically listed, or use what you have on hand. A variety of fruit will look beautiful in the pitcher, including apples, cherries, pineapple, and grapes.

Sparkling Sangria
If you are serving this at a party on a hot day, consider making it a sparkling sangria. Add club soda or sparkling water to about 1/4 of the glass, or even up to 1/3. The sangria is strong, so it can be stretched to serve more and help maintain hydration on a hot day.
