Witches Brew Halloween Cocktail – fresh, fruity, and easy to drink. This make-ahead Halloween cocktail is the perfect moody purple color for a festive Witches Brew.

Witches Brew Halloween Cocktail
If you’re looking for a fun cocktail to serve your best witches, this one is a major crowd pleaser, and it’s very easy to make! I used this recipe when I hosted Our Perfect Storm Book Club. I was looking for a purple cocktail to serve, and I loved the dark, moody purple color. This drink was such a hit at book club, and I thought it would be a perfect Halloween cocktail. I like to have an easy cocktail batched and made ahead, like my Mai Tai Recipe or a Caramel Apple Sangria when I’m hosting, and I’m excited to serve this one again. It’s fruity, fresh, sweet, and very easy to drink!

Ingredients for a Witches Brew Cocktail
- Vodka – a good quality vodka to avoid giving your friends a headache. 😊
- Blue Curaçao – an orange-flavored liqueur that is bright blue and fun for making colorful cocktails.
- Grenadine – a dark red pomegranate-flavored mixer. The equal parts Blue Curaçao and Grenadine give the cocktail its deep purple color.
- Fresh Lime Juice – freshly squeezed lime juice is preferred. I like to use a small electric juicer when I’m making the pitcher recipe.
- Lemonade – a light lemon flavor to complement the citrus notes.
- Simple Syrup – Depending on the tartness of the fresh lime juice, I like to have simple syrup on hand to adjust to taste as needed.
- Lime Wedges – to rim the edges of the coupe glass.
- Rimming Sugar – I found the purple rimming sugar at Michael’s. I think it would look great with black too!
- Garnish – Fresh Blackberries and Mint

Dry Ice and Halloween Cocktails
I used dry ice to style these cocktail photos, but I won’t serve the cocktail to guests with dry ice in them. Dry ice is dangerous when ingested or handled directly, so to avoid any issues, I plan to use the dry ice to set a spooky scene. I’ll elevate the Witches Brew cocktails on a display stand and have dry ice under the display in a black cauldron, which will be fun, festive, and safe. Similar to the photo below, where the dry ice fog is filling the tray around the drinks and is safely in its own container. If you plan to buy and use dry ice for your Halloween party, check out these Dry Ice Safety Tips for proper handling. Important Note: If you put a small piece of dry ice in a cocktail, it should be completely gone before serving. Do not drink from a glass until the dry ice has stopped bubbling and creating the fog effect. The piece of dry ice should be completely gone. We strained the cocktail before drinking just to be extra cautious.

How to Make a Witches Brew Cocktail
There are three ways to serve this cocktail.
- Over Ice – Add ice to a coupe glass, then add ingredients and stir very well.
- Chilled – Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Pour into a coupe glass.
- In a Pitcher – Stir all ingredients very well in a large pitcher and chill. Stir again before serving. Pour over ice to serve.

Make-Ahead Witches Brew Pitcher
Save time and stress by making this ahead. Use the pitcher recipe and stir all ingredients into a large pitcher. Cover pitcher with plastic wrap and store in refrigerator. Stir again before serving. For best results, make up to 24 hours before.
