My Christmas Wreath Charcuterie Board is a holiday favorite and this is a fall spin on the same idea. Arrange your board ingredients in a wreath shape, then add a few special touches for the fall. So easy and it makes a fun and festive appetizer.
Adding Fall Leaves to the Charcuterie Board
I added three different types of “leaves” to give my board a fall vibe. First, I used Fall Pie Punches to cut leaf shapes out of cheese slices. Then I tucked in some fresh sage leaves, a wide variety of food safe greenery or fresh herbs will work for this. Finally, I added Maple Leaf Cookies to finish off the board. Mine are from Trader Joe’s, but I have heard Aldi’s carries them as well.
Supplies for Fall Wreath Charcuterie Board
Round Marble Board – I love this board and have used it for years. It’s oversized and perfect for building a beautiful display.
Fall Leaf Pie Punches – like cookie cutters but smaller and are for pie dough. They have a small spring punch that adds the leaf detail without cutting through the cheese. I use these for my Thanksgiving pies!
Small Bowls – My small wood bowls are originally from Target’s Magnolia Hearth and Hand line.
Fall Wreath Charcuterie Ingredients
All of these ingredients were found at Trader Joe’s.
Dry Salami – use a stick of salami and slice into round pieces.
Prosciutto – cut in half so they are easier to portion and then fold onto board.
Salame de Parma – these are soft slices of salami that are easy to fold and display.
Havarti Cheese – cut into cubes, I like the havarti because it’s softer than the cheddar and adds a different texture to the board.
Sharp Cheddar Cheese – I like extra sharp cheddar cheese because I like the way it pairs with the salami and the dark orange color is perfect for fall.
Cherry Size Fresh Mozzarella – fresh mozzarella is a nice kid friendly option to add to the board! Pairs nicely with the Salami de Parma and the Prosciutto
Pumpkin Spread – I used the Sweet & Savory Lightly Spiced Spread from Trader Joe’s and it is absolutely delicious. Very similar to a fig jam and pairs so nice with all the meats and cheeses. This is a must try!
Olives – for something salty and briney, your favorite kind of olives are perfectly fine. I like the touch of black that the olives add to the board.
Nuts – Roasted pumpkin seeds are perfect for the season and I also added our favorite sweet and spicy pecans.
Cheese Slices – to make leaves. Thicker cheese slices work the best.
Fresh Sage Leaves – A few fresh sage leaves add to the wreath style of this board and smell really good.
